Add Scottrade to the list.
A little more than a week ago we announced that you could now invest in The Jubak Global Equity Fund (JUBAX) directly through your brokerage account at Vanguard. And a week later we said you could invest through your Schwab account too
Today we’re reporting that you can invest in Jubak Global Equity Fund through your existing Scottrade account too.
Yes, we’re only a quarter old, but we’re working hard to follow your suggestions.
When we launched the fund, a lot of you said that you’d invest in the fund if you could do it through a brokerage account at Schwab or Vanguard or Scottrade or Fidelity or …. And we heard you. It’s taken a while to get the process going, but we’re proud to announce that as of today, we’ve signed up our third platform, Scottrade.
Yep, as of right now you can invest in Jubak Global Equity (JUBAX) through your existing Scottrade or Schwab or Vanguard accounts. (Of course, you can still sign up directly on line, or through the mail, too).
And we’ve even managed to set it up so that Scottrade (and Schwab and Vanguard investors too) can get a free subscription to my new Jubak Asset Management Internet newsletter (a $299 value), just as direct investors do. So, Scottrade investors, once you’ve completed your trade, please go here to activate your subscription http://jubakam.com/scottrade/ or if you forget that address just go to the Jubak Asset Management homepage and follow the instructions. (Schwab investors can go here to activate their subscription: http://jubakam.com/schwab and Vanguard investors can go here to activate their subscription: http://jubakam.com/vanguard )
In the coming weeks we expect to be able to announce that the fund is available through other brokers you’ve asked about, too.
So, watch this space.
The Jubak Global Equity Fund is distributed by Grand Distribution Services, LLC.

Ameritrade answered:
Thank you for contacting TD AMERITRADE’s Mutual Fund Desk. At this time, TD AMERITRADE does not have a selling agreement with Jubak Asset Management, LLC, the company that sponsors the Jubak Global Equity Fund (JUBAX). Unfortunately, this means that, at this time, you would not be able to invest in this mutual fund through TD AMERITRADE.
(duh!)
Unfortunately, it is TD AMERITRADE’s policy not to comment on the status of negotiations regarding new selling agreements; therefore I cannot provide any further information, at this time.
(oh well, I tried)
Sent email to Ameritrade asking for a target date. (and mentioned that ScottTrade, Vangaurd and Vanguard clients can purchase the JUBAX fund). 🙂
Maybe that will help.
Good for you Jim. Waiting on fidelity
Catengineer,
I am using Merrill Edge too and I am unable to purchase it. When I say preview order it gives me an error saying that it is not available for purchase through Merrill Lynch.
Arrggg. me not happy.
I have emailed foliofn with the suggestion to add your fund. I also hope Interactive will have it but won’t email those guys 🙂
Invested today. Will add more soon.
shaikjadoo,
Are you able to purchase JUBAX through your Merill Edge account? I tried and it says it’s not available.
Will it ever be available via Edward Jones?
also waiting on Fidelity…
spoke too soon… Waiting on Fidelity. Thank you Jim.
looks like Fidelity has it now!
Tom, basically when I started the Jubak Global Equity Fund I liquidated almost all of my personal stock holdings and put the money into the mutual fund. So I no longer own more than few stocks in my personal account. That’s what the disclosure is about, And once we get regulatory approval to list the fund’s portfolio you be able to see what the fund owned at the end of the previous quarter (or more frequently if we can negotiate that with regulators.) But it takes a while for a new fund to jump all the regulatory hurdles so that we can list what we own.
On Ameritrade and eTrade. The process of adding new platform (known to most human beings as brokerage companies) is frustratingly ideosyncratic. eTrade and Ameritrade were two of the first to express interest but somewhere we’ve gotten bogged down in paper work. Anyday now is what they say (or some days they say “you’ve been approved; we’re just waiting for formal clearance.” It will happen.
Monika, actually I did publish 2nd quarter numbers back on July 1. I just haven’t had time to publish it with all the whistles and bells required to get it up on the box in the home page. You can find the July 1 report here: https://jubakpicks.com/2010/07/01/whoopie-preliminary-second-quarter-numbers-jubaks-picks-lost-less-money-in-the-quarter-than-the-market-as-a-whole-and-is-sitting-on-a-pile-of-cash-to-boot/ Just pase it into your browser.
You said earlier that: “I’m little behind in reporting the performance of Jubak’s Picks.”
We have now completed the third quarter, and still no performance even from the second quarter…
You said you would try to do better – what happened???
chances not chance… 🙂
Heyyyy Jim…
What are the chance of ETRADE offering JUBAX?? I keep looking every single day but no word yet. I’ve already sent an email asking about it.
Thanks a bunch!
Leigh
How about adding E-Trade?
As best I can tell jubax is listed as a NL fund with scottrade. Which cost $17 to buy and sell. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.
So glad I can do this now. Thanks.
Bank of America Merill Lynch Has it…. YEAY!!!
Gonna buy it ASAP. 🙂
Tnks Jim, I’m also with Dan, impatiencely awaiting Ameritrade 🙂
Jim,
Don’t forget about us at Bank of America Merill Lynch
I just typed JUBAX into my scottrade charts, and I got Bad- symbol JUBAX.
Nope, it aint on my scottrade charts..
Thanks. Jim, why do so many of your recommedations say “Full Disclosure: I do not own any shares mentioned in this article”? Is this because you now own in JUBAX, or is there another reason?
Interactive brokers please!
And now I’m in. I’m having a problems registering for the JAM newsletter, but I’ll sort that out with customer service soon I’m sure.
Thanks Jim.
etrade?
Hopefully Ameritrade is one of those you’ll be announcing in the next couple weeks.
AWESOME now I can finally buy it
