I remember filing my first Jubak Picks stock pick at Microsoft’s MSN Money like it was yesterday. (Down to the watery Redmond, Washington sunshine.)

But it wasn’t yesterday. The first post went up 20 years ago this month. Boy, time sure flies when you’re having fun (as in 1999) and even when you aren’t (in in the meltdowns of 1999 and 2007.)

I’ve kept the format and content of Jubak Picks pretty much unchanged since May 1997. There are more portfolios now – I added a dividend and a long term portfolio to my original 12-18 month portfolio. And the graphics have changed as I migrated this site from Microsoft Money to the MoneyShow and now to stand-alone status.

Most of the changes and innovations that I’ve launched over the last five to seven years, though, have been on my paid sites and especially on I’ve added a new Volatility Portfolio, increased my coverage of ETFs and commodities such as gold and coffee, added recommendations for options when I have found a particularly tempting play, and added a focus on volatility – the VIX, for example – and other hedges. To the regular daily emails that you’re used to on, I’ve added exclusive posts on sectors and trends. And for this 20th anniversary, I’ve relaunched my sort-of daily videos.

I think if you try my paid site, you’ll like it. Which is why I’m offering you a chance to try it for 30 days for free. Just give us your email so we can start sending you alerts for and you’ll get access to everything this site has to offer for free. No credit card required. No auto-charge. (Although we will send you a few reminders as your 30-day free trial comes to an end urging you to subscribe. If you do, you’ll get a special 20th anniversary price of 20% or $159 for the first year.) You can sign up by following this link:

Looking forward, one way or another and God willing, to another 20 years of posts.

And, as always, thanks for reading.
