Encana has spent the last two years divesting itself of overseas oil and natural gas operations and using the cash to build a leading position in unconventional oil and gas reserves in North America. The company’s properties now include the Barnett Shale formation in Texas, Colorado’s Piceance Basin and oil sands and coal-bed methane in Alberta.

I have been watching Encana for a while, and was wondering your thoughts on the go ahead to split the company into two. Encana to focus on natural gas and Cenovus to focus on oil. Does this affect your “Buy Encana” decision? How is this going to affect the stock?
