Check out the warning on AIG this morning from Bernstein. Says in a nutshell that AIG has been cutting prices to gain/keep business and under-reserving for potential losses. Company says it is untrue. AIG down 12% today (as of 1:30 ET).

Well now it seems that the bailout has had another negative consequence, an irrational market for insurance. I think the US government should require AIG to follow pricing set by other industry competitors. Under bidding competition at this point becomes risky again for the US taxpayers. AIG is a huge problem for everyone and not enough ink is spilled over the situation. This reckless activity by AIG in their business is a Moral Hazzard.
Thanks Jim for all your insight.
