Mr. Jubak,

For a portfolio manager, you might want to look at Beiley's Fund Manager ( http://www.fundmanagersoftware.com/index.html ). Despite its name, it's by far the best I've ever seen as far as flexibility, including flexibility of reporting. About the only disadvantages I've found in it is that it can be a little geeky, and that I don't like its display as well as I liked MSN-PM's.

If anyone here decides to use Fund Manager, but then has trouble finding a way to export years of transactions from MSN-PM to FM - and to some other portfolio managers which will accept text-based imports - post here and I will tell you how I think it can be done without too much hand-finishing, as they call it in the chocolate biz.

Good luck.

ciwood, I have't found a better free stock screener than the one on MSN Money. I've ben using the screener on Morningstar for a couple of years now because it has more complete fundamental data but it costs $100 bucks a year. I haven't found a portfolio manager to replace the one that MSN Money is discontinuing in Novembe but you can bet I'm looking. I've got 13 years of data locked up in that tool. I'll let you know what I find.

If I got polled, I would go with cut/control spending. All these stimulus is like smoking (stimulus) now and get cancer later.

Jim,
This question is off the subject, but I can't find a better place to ask. I am a relative newbie to the Jubak Picks and have taken your advice and bought Maxwell Technologies. You target price has been reached a few times in the past few days... Do I go ahead and sell taking the profit? Or hold on for a follow on recommendation? Thanks. Great pick by the way, made some good profit on this one.
